While Domenicali said he couldn’t see a fourth model line being introduced before 2025, Autocar is reporting that work on the 4-seater has begun and that the launch could take place as early as 2021.
The British publication reports that the car, in addition to its four seats, would also have four doors, suggesting it might be something like 2008’s well-received Estoque sedan concept.
Senior staff at Lamborghini are said to be in favor of a sedan as it would help bridge the gap between Lamborghini’s supercars and the upcoming Urus. And there’s already a suitable platform in the form of the MSB which debuted in the 2017 Porsche Panamera.
The other option, the so-called modern-day Miura, is said to be a supercar positioned either between the Huracán or above the Aventador. According to Autocar, a faction at Lamborghini is keen to develop a carbon fiber-intensive platform that could spawn successors to the Huracán and Aventador, as well as the new supercar
