THE BRABUS 700 IS THE TUNED EVIL TWIN OF THE AMG E63 S
The Mercedes AMG E63 S is a car that if we’re brutally honest, doesn’t exactly lack horsepower with 604bhp to play with. Brabus, being very Brabus-like has decided that this power output was not enough. The companies solution to this very complex issue is a fully tuned, more insane version dubbed the Brabus 700.
Most important is the ‘700’ part of the name which as you can probably work out refers to the power of the thing, the 4.0-litre twin-turbo motor has only been breathed on slightly and now produces 691bhp and 700lb-ft of torque. This means a 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds which is 0.2 seconds quicker than the standard cars time.
All of the breathing work means a top speed of 186mph which is exactly the same as the standard car. Brabus are working on a ‘Vmax Unit’ to fix unleash more speed because it’s Brabus, and it’s what you’d expect.
To ensure that the masses know you’re not living in poverty by having to make do with a standard E63 S, the 700 is decked out in massive 21-inch rims and a ton of carbon aero work including a front-splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler. This lack of ‘poverty spec’ continues on the inside where everything is covered in red and black and Alcantara and aluminium along with switchable ambient lighting.
If you already have a E63 S, then Brabus will convert your current ride a stage at a time or sell you a brand new complete 700 model. No word on the price but as usual if you have to ask, then it’s likely you cannot afford it.
